The Tallyman's Dark Omnibus, Meowsic Media (2002)
I first heard `the Tallyman' on a five track sampler cassette that I
gleaned from him a few years back. I don't whether it is still available
or not, but you might want to ask nicely when you write to order a copy
of this three track CD. The Tallyman's Dark Omnibus is a West Midlands
based solo artist who can be seen live from time to time so keep your
eyes peeled. This CD starts with the phenomenal track `Circus Horses'
which I have loved from the moment I heard it on that cassette, next two
up are `Cast Adrift' and `The Entry' and lovers of off beam pop/rock should
love this fellow. He used sequenc-ers and synthesizers along with his
guitar and bass work to create this montage of invention that defies explanation
and review. Just buy it.
