This is a beautifully evocative tale of one individual's personal journey in search of Spirit. She has chosen to mould her search with her experiences through the year and the four elements - earth, air, fire and water, before returning to earth and finally joining all for to find Spirit. It describes her thoughts, ideas, frustrations and successes, and is dotted with exercises and practical suggestions for working with each of the elements in turn. There are parts of the book that I found myself unsure of her direction, and there are occasions where her deeply analytical approach left me wanting something, anything to happen. But that actually added to the emotion of the book as she herself admits to finding Fire the most difficult element to work with, and as someone who has Fire strongly aspected in her natal chart that proved an insightful and educational process in itself.
