Courage, Brave Amazon

by Christine Rayner
Published by Lucas Books, 2002

This is a beautiful tender book written by a member of the Druid community in East Anglia about her experience of breast cancer. Though there is little overt Druidry, which allows it to be a book accessible to those of any spiritual tradition, the Druidry is underlying in her courage and sources of inspiration. It is a love story, too, as she writes the journal of the journey through surgery, chemo and radiotherapy, sharing with others in order to inspire them to find their own courage. In a world where this disease is all too common, the book is worthwhile reading for anyone, male or female, who would like insight, information and inspiration.

The cover price of £8.99 (July 2003) includes 50p per book given by the publisher to the charity, Breast Cancer Care.
