Tinne

Ivy Blossom

Holly as Ally

Tinne teaches us of nature's balance of acceptance and justice, light and dark, sunshine and shadow. An understory tree, he usually grows in the shade for six months of the year beneath the canopy of oak and ash, finding his shining evergreen glory when those above have lost their leaves. So does he teach us to find balance, transforming negative energy into creativity. (ERO)

Ivy Berries in FrostWith its distinctive bright shiny green and spiky leaves throughout the year Holly produces red berries in autumn. Linked with the Otherworld and to the Celtic deity Goibnu, it is a wood that burns fiercely and strongly. Holly offers a message of inner strength and power, the ability to meet life’s challenges even if we feel weak and vulnerable. Through working with Holly we may overcome our own inner issues and battles, the inner fire of the tree giving us positivity, purpose and passion. (CC)
