Oghams of Mac ind Oic: robe of physicians
An Ogham where there is some doubt as to the exact tree – Graves associates nGétal with reed – though all the Word Oghams name the tree as Broom. It grows as a small bush and is usually, though not exclusively, found in sunny sites on dry, sandy soils. The yellow blossoms can be found in spring and summer. Strongly linked with solar gods, Broom offers us a path to healing and cleansing, cleaning up negativity and things that no longer serve us and need to be swept up and discarded, whether physically or in spirit. This is an Ogham that focuses on the healing aspects of our lives and not the diseases and issues that can affect us. (CC)
