Southeastern Woodlands

A Florida Pathway

Hail and Welcome to the Southeastern Woodlands region of The Druid Network!

Our vast Southeastern Woodlands area extends from the eastern Atlantic coast of Virginia and North Carolina, through South Carolina and Georgia along the Atlantic to the tip of the Gulf shores of Florida. Our history is steeped with ancient Indian cultures and spirits abound from the forested mountains south to the Everglades.

From the Blue Ridge mountains, through mossy oaks to the Gulf and Atlantic shores; alligators to soaring eagles, we’ll ride the currents of the ancient winds and walk under the overhanging branches to touch the ever changing sands of time.

Here you will find information regarding our rich roots and history. The geographic features of the area range from coastal plains with their saltwater marshes and grasses; the Black Belt region with its fertile soil; to stands of cypress in the Florida swamps to the forested heights of the Blue Ridge Mountain range. Together we be instilling inspiration within these regions, such as places and organizations that druids can go physically or virtually to explore, ie...Forests, Natural History, Regional Geology and Seashores. I would also like to invite newsletters from the various groves throughout the Southeastern area and monthly Area Grove Events.

We will be focusing monthly on a particular area from the standpoint of druid interest, while relating the Wheel of the Year for the region. And as our children are our future, Mentor-ships for Teens within the area are needed to assist them in understanding their place alongside our ancestors.
