The following is the very basic ritual template used by Clan
of the Triplehorses, adapted here for general solitary use.
You are encouraged to submit your favorite solitary ritual
for uploading here, for others to use and enjoy. Please send them to Aigeann.
OPENING
The beating of a drum, clapping of hands or ringing of a bell
as the definite beginning of your rite
PURIFICATION
Smudging yourself and your ritual space
MOTHER EARTH OFFERING
The spreading of bread crumbs, bird seed, corn meal, etc.,
around your ritual space as thanks for using the site
STATEMENT OF PURPOSE
This is a statement of why you are holding a ritual (i.e. in celebration
of a High Day)
SENDING PRAYERS ON THE FOUR WINDS
East—
Facing East, honors Ancestors, Nature Spirits and/or Gods or the season itself
in words or gestures
South--
Facing South, honors Ancestors, Nature Spirits and/or Gods or the season itself
in words or gestures
West--
Facing West, honors Ancestors, Nature Spirits and/or Gods or the season itself
in words or gestures
North--
Facing North, honors Ancestors, Nature Spirits and/or Gods or the season itself
in words or gestures
ASSISTANCE
Asking your Patron God or
Goddess, Deity of Occasion (i.e. Brighid on Imbolc), totem animal or other
spirit guide for their guidance during your ritual.
GROWTH OFFERING
The visualizing of whatever you wish to get rid of, into a
branch of mistletoe (“all heal”) or other offering which is then sacrificed
into the ritual fire, buried into the Earth or sacrificed into a body of water.
HEART
The main section of the ritual where you can dance around a
maypole, meditate, etc.
ENERGY WORK
The raising of energy or other workings
DIVINATION
The taking of an omen to see what the Gods have to tell you or what the future
may hold

words or gestures

Sends thanks to the Ancestors, Nature Spirits and Gods on the West wind in
words or gestures
South--
Sends thanks to the Ancestors, Nature Spirits and Gods on the South wind in
words or gestures
East--
Sends thanks to the Ancestors, Nature Spirits and Gods on the East wind in
words or gestures
MOTHER EARTH OATH
Swearing your faithful service to the living Earth by the laying
of your hands on the Earth at your feet or on a nearby tree or stone.
ENDING
The beating of a drum, clapping of hands or ringing of a bell, etc.,
signaling the definite end of your rite
